City of Shelby plans to purchase two historic properties

About eight years ago, Rick Howell was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a brain disorder that causes shaking, uncontrollable movement, loss of balance and other physical symptoms. Not long after the diagnosis, Rick and his wife Barb Howell visited New York City, where they attended a Michael J. Fox Foundation event.

An ever-popular town fun-run is set to return next month and all are welcome to get involved.

After extensive renovations, the city pool is open in time for Memorial Day weekend.

Through a partnership between the city and county, a fourth job ready shell building has been completed on Randolph Road.
