Lately, it seems as though the path to quantum computing has more milestones than there are miles. Judging by headlines, each week holds another big announcement—an advance in qubit size, or another record-breaking investment.

The growing use of online digital media has made the task of protecting copyright and intellectual property increasingly more challenging. Data hiding techniques, such as digital watermarking, can be used to embed data within a signal for various purposes, e.g., for digital rights management. To achieve this, there are a number of desirable properties for digital watermarking, namely, impercepti-bility, capacity, robustness and security. The research presented in this paper investigates a QR cod...

Abstract Georeferencing means to transform the point cloud data collected by the terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) into a global coordinate system for three-dimensional (3D) scene reconstruction. However, the current georeferencing methods are mainly applicable for the TLS operating in the static mode; when the TLS is moving (i.e., in the kinematic working mode) during the 3D scene reconstruction, severe georeferencing error will be generated due to the kinematic measurement noise and geometric f...
