India has the heft on the global stage and nimble regulators, but it needs to build its military power, raise its competitiveness and invest in research and development to capitalise on the opportunities, they said. The country will be a hub for global companies that can exploit the talent available both in services and manufacturing. But setting up advanced manufacturing units cannot happen overnight, they said at the ET CEO Roundtable in Mumbai on Tuesday.
