High winds leave more than 1,500 without power FacebookTwitterEmail Several towns across Connecticut are experiencing power outages due to high winds that blew between Friday night and Saturday morning. Among the hardest-hit towns were Harwinton with about 298 outages, Middletown with 290, Newtown with 187 and Litchfield with 185. Woodstock and Weston have also reported over 100 outages as of 7:43 a.m. Saturday morning and there are other, smaller clusters of outages scattered around the state....
