Exiled Wagner News Today

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the mercenary warlord who led a march on Moscow last month, returned to Russia to collect an arsenal of weapons, including a personalised handgun.

The Kremlin is understood to be on high alert amid fears that disgruntled Wagner rebels could plot an attack after their mercenary army was axed by Vladimir Putin in the wake of their mutiny.

Exiled Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin has released an audio message for the first time since abandoning a march to Moscow.

In an 11-minute audio message released Monday, the boss of Russia's Wagner mercenary group Prigozhin said, "We went as a demonstration of protest, not to overthrow the government of the country."

Prigozhin defended his so-called "march for justice" by insisting he had no intention of overthrowing Vladimir Putin's government - and claimed it was abandoned to avoid bloodshed.
