considered way too far? yeah i think they would be willing. russia can wheel this against other countries, particularly united states at a time when we re posing sanctions or moving more aggressive in certain intervals. they can use this as a weapon. it is a far more devastating impact to us. our ability to counter with offensive cyber attack we ve seen before, much like the not pet you cyberattack mentioned in some of the indictments. with the attacks we never know what the spill overs going to be. we saw massive spill overs with that russian attack last summer. it limits our hands in how we can respond to this going forward. that is the challenge. this is coming at a time when we re talking about major changes within the administration. people who have been dealing with this. i remember when i went into, and even had exit interviews with the folks in the balm administration. they talk about the month and
to the sexual harassment piece i started exit interviews. i received letters from employees stating they had had a good environment, that they were thankful for the experience they had. i have that in writing from my employees who left. i did exit interviews. never was i told that people felt they were being sexually harassed. that was not the issue. the issue is this was brought forth. let s talk about the me too. what the me too and what i m hoping and we keep talking about the watershed moment. we create an environment where it is not 10 years later. it is not two years after someone leaves. but they actually have the culture and the environment where they feel safe to say i don t like this being said to me. i don t want this happening. yeah. someone is not acting appropriately, so we can deal with it at that time. absolutely.
exit interviews. yeah, one of the things you ve seen is steve bannon become a more public profile. he gave four interviews in three days as he was leaving the white house after months of not really speaking publicly to the press. signalling things on north korea where he felt the trump administration was wrong, how economic nationalism is one of the things that he wanted the trump administration to focus on. if we saw anything more recently, breitbart had a headlight against h.r. mcmasters saying, you know, it was his fault that trump made the big snafu comment regarding the south pacific crash. so they re still continuing that can of campaign. it s been one of their big focuses on breitbart, trying to take down mcmaster. jared kushner, ivanka, h.r. mcmaster. the website is a niche audience.
opportunity to see that will be in phoenix at the start of the week. i believe it s on tuesday. what do you expect from the president there? you know, i think that the president is going to do what he always does at these rallies. to try and connect with the audience. to project the idea, even if it doesn t comport with reality, that trump is winning, achieving great things. that he s on the verge of victories on tax reform and other areas. i would be surprised if he mentioned steve bannon by name. but trump likes to get outside the white house and reconnect with his audience to try to get his mojo back. we ll see. he has had maybe the roughest week of his presidency. so he certainly needs to make some kind of a change. he may have to work hard to reject the narrative that steve bannon built in the exit interviews as they are on his way out of the white house. joshua green, thanks so much. thank you. just in case you didn t know really how stormy bannon s short tenure was at
