Law enforcement officers forcibly clearing some of the encampments. In new york city. Police arrested about 300 protesters on the campus of Columbia University and also at city college of new york officers in riot gear moved in last night to clear out encampments. The nypd also breached colombias hamilton hall, which was taken over by protesters yesterday morning for weeks. These propalestine demonstrators have demanded that universities divest from israeli links companies. The nypd will maintain its presence on campus. There. It says until midmay, also an encampment of protesters at Tulane
Vacaville and fairfield, which have been the windiest this morning with the wind advisory up in Solano County. Im going into the building ostensibly to remove the demonstrators. They were told to take down the tents that are in the middle of the campus. And students didnt do that. So yesterday authorities started taking away tense and then the protesters put more tense up. In the meantime, a lot of the students were told that if they didnt leave and and leave the protest site and bring the tents down, theyd be suspended from class until june. And those students who didnt follow that and most of them did not h
