CityCenter Danbury Farmers’ Market Receives Grant from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation’s Resiliency Fund Written by Angela Wong A $13,250 grant from the Fairfield County s Community Foundation’s (FCCF) COVID-19 Resiliency Fund  will enable the CityCenter Danbury Farmers’ Market to make fresh produce accessible to people who might otherwise not have access to healthy food options. The Danbury Farmers’ Market will run every Friday 10 am to 2 pm, from June 25 th through October 29 th at the Danbury Railway Museum. Peggy Zamore, nutritionist and director of the market programs said, “Over the past twelve years, the Fairfield County’s Community Foundation has awarded the Danbury Farmers’ Market Community Collaborative about $300,000. This significant level of funding is hugely appreciated by the Collaborative and the Danbury community. Hertford County Public Schools announces summer learning program for grades K-12 Storyblocks Enterprise and last updated 2021-05-09 16:55:51-04 HERTFORD COUNTY, N.C. - Hertford County Public Schools have announced that their K-12 Summer Extended Learning Program that will also include a Pre-K program. School officials say this summer learning program will provide an opportunity to expand educational success for students who have experienced learning losses due to COVID-19 during the 2020-2021 school year. Dates have been established by each school to provide in-person instruction and enrichment activities. Based upon the grade level and needs of students, one bill provides instructional guidelines for the 150 hours of extended learning.

Marshalltown Miller Middle School seventh graders Harper Wilson and Anessa Morrison were named the grand champions, chosen from 300 other projects at this year’s State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa. Morrison and Wilson’s achievement etches their names in history as the first Miller Middle School students to ever win the grand championship. When Harper and Anessa found out about the win, they were shocked, going as far to believe it was a mistake. The girls weren’t even watching the live stream of the awards ceremony, and found out about the win through their instructor.
