early, but how does he stack up? you know, a couple of interesting polls that cnn came out with not too long ago about newt gingerich. one of them, i think, is very interesting. it reflects the fact that he does have some baggage. would you like to see newt gingerich run for the gop nomination? yes, 51%. no, 45%. that is striking for somebody who is thinking about running for president. there s a deep divide there as to whether or not he should do this and a lot of this stems from his many years in washington, many years in politics. there s another one that we ll throw up there. your opinion of newt gingerich favorable 30%, unfavorable 44%, unsure 26%. some of that stems from the fact that, you know, he has these past marital problems that he s tried to deal with. but also, you know, he was there in washington in the mid 1990s. you ll remember, don, this is going back a ways. seinfeld was the most popular tv show back then.
