Temporary traffic signals are being installed where Route 380 and Golden Mile Highway meet, but the permanent improvements proposed for the intersection have a Murrysville family upset. A 29-year-old man was booked Tuesday into Carson City Jail on a felony contempt of court warrant after he failed to appear in court for sentencing on a felony charge of attempting to escape from prison, a Carson City sheriffs deputy said.

Traffic was slow going in Carson City along Highway 50 East following two crashes Tuesday, according to Nevada State Police. There was a crash reported at around 3:50 p.m. on US-50 East and Nye Lane. There was a second crash at 5:18 p.m. reportedly near US-50 and Brown Street. Injuries are unknown at this time. Motorists can expect delays.
