A 52-year-old man was arrested with counterfeit currency notes amounting to Rs 51 lakh from the Mohguli area of Lakhimpur district. The accused, Hanif Ali, was carrying the counterfeit notes in a bag when locals caught him. He was planning to smuggle the counterfeit currency notes from Lakhimpur to Guwahati.
