Farran Mackenzie News Today

For this month’s book review, I’m taking you all back to the early 2000s. A Violent End is Maggie Wheeler's debut novel in the Lost Villages Series. It puts a spotlight on our local history – the building of the St. Lawrence Seaway – with a side of murder and mystery.

Affectionately known as the Seaway Valley's Queen of Crime, Maggie Wheeler launched the final book in her best-selling 'Lost Villages' historical murder series, The Last Wave By, on November 6, 2022.

Seventh and final mystery novel with strong local connections to be launched in November in Long Sault.

“This is not just another book launch,” explains Wheeler, known to fans as the Seaway Valley’s Queen of Crime.  “It’s goodbye to Farran and the gang.”
