She had been in the care of a local long-term health care facility since surviving one heart attack and two strokes. She was born on August 4, 1944, to Ralph and Sybil White of Old Fort, and after graduating froom high school, she worked at Mallory Battery (Duracell) for over 30 years, retiring before she was 50.
