Fayette County has five seats on its public schools board. The board decides on district-wide policies, priorities, direction and spending, according to the district website.
The Fayette County Board of Education on Monday chose Jason D. Moore, a special agent and instructor with the Drug Enforcement Administration, to fill the District 3 vacancy.
“We will continue to keep the community engaged and informed as this process moves forward and invite members of the public to attend or tune in to the forum on Thursday,” Fayette School Board Chairman Tyler Murphy said.
