Montreal shelter struggles to meet demand for help from asylum seekers
Kicha Estimé says the shelter she operates in Montréal-Nord is forced to turn down five to 10 people every day. As the housing crisis worsens and demands for help rise, she says she wishes she could get more money from authorities to run the shelter.
