Action News Jax’s First Alert Weather Team is tracking rain lifting up from Central Florida.

Strong winds will move into the region today. This has prompted wind advisories for the entire area. Gusts may top 50 mph tonight & could cause some spotty power outages. Rain also arrives tonight.

Some patchy fog possible overnight

Most sunny skies will be in place early Thursday. A few late day isolated storms may develop in the eastern Piedmont Triad Thursday with highs in the upper 80s.

A handful of showers and storms will move across Middle Tennessee & Southern Kentucky. Some storms will turn strong to severe. The main concern continues to be damaging wind gusts.

Dense Fog will set up in some areas early this Saturday Morning obstructing visibility. A Dense Fog Advisory will remain in effect until 8:00 a.m.

A few showers or storms are possible today, but the best chance for rain and storms will arrive late tonight and early Sat thanks to a cold front.

An area of low pressure and a cold front will move our way later today and tonight. This will increase our rain chances today. Later today and tonight, a few strong storms are possible.

A disturbance is brining showers to southern middle Tennessee this morning. Tomorrow, several waves of rain will move across the area. A few storms will be possible.
