The 67-year-old man was riding the e-scooter east across Wellwood Avenue from Heathcote Road when it was struck by a Ford E-250 van being driven north on Straight Path, police said.

Nassau County police said Edward Drexel, of Bellmore, was arrested by First Squad detectives Wednesday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury and with tampering with physical evidence.

A driver was approaching Commack Road and Marcus Boulevard in Deer Park about 11 a.m. when a male in a black Hyundai shot the projectiles at him, Suffolk County Police said.

Defendant Guiadeen caused damage throughout the building and was arrested without incident.

Police said the victim was shot about 4:15 p.m. on Madison Avenue between Campbell Street and Route 110 in North Amityville and taken to a hospital in serious condition.

One of the thefts took place at night, when a burglar got into a brand-new Nissen and drove it away from the Inwood dealership through the service bay doors, police said.

The frightened victim ran and hid in a nearby bush, cops say.

A man fell overboard while boating on the Great South Bay and Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating with the assistance of other authorities.

He was trying to make a left turn onto Straight Path from Commander Avenue when his car was hit by another vehicle, police said.
