The 16th annual Kensington Derby and Arts Festival is expecting 15,000 to 25,000 attendees and will feature more than 150 vendors. The event, which has taken place on Trenton Avenue in previous years, will showcase local businesses in East Kensington and Fishtown.

Fishtown Taps, the Fishtown District's summer happy hour promotion, runs each Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. through Labor Day with $5 beers, $6 wines and $7 cocktails. There are also food specials at all 18 participating restaurants and bars, with more to be added before the end of summer. Residents and visitors can check for updates on the Fynd app, available on Apple's App Store and Google Play.

The Kensington Derby and Arts Festival, now in its 15th year, returns on Saturday, May 13 from 12 to 6 p.m. on Trenton Avenue from Norris Street to Frankford Avenue. More than 15,000 people are expected to attend and cheer on competitors as they parade in handmade sculptures and attempt to pass by obstacles on a three-mile course decorated by local businesses.
