Over trumps insistence on a big, beautiful border wall. you might consider the presidents fixation singular or even quick sod dig, but trump is hardly alone in this quest. across the world we are in an age of walls which is the subject and title of a new book by tim marshall. at the end of the cold war there were only 15 border walls around the world, after 2000 the number spiked and by 2016 there were 70 according to elizabeth valet, a professor at the university of quebec at montreal. the reas...

Turn around and come back home. we were under the impression the president would sign this continuing resolution. why he changed his mind, who knows. theres a lot of rumors that he respond to outside commentators. that may be one reason, i dont know. but it defies logic, and it is certainly something not in the interests of the american people. >> he just tweeted out a picture of what he described as a steel slat fence, a steel slat barrier, he actually called it in his tweet. do you think thats...

Russia fixation. how did everybody in america with an ivy league education simultaneously go insane in the space of a single year? was there some kind of mass poisoning, was erica chisholm? did it happen in medieval france? we will let historians sort that out, but all we know for certain is that the people in charge have lost it, they really have. if you dont believe it, listen to them explain the intricacies of the russia conspiracy. its so complex and riddled with contradictions, it sounded l...

Although apparently none of them ever spied for anybody. we have also learned that -- and people are not noting this but we thought it would be worth pointing out, virtually every issue that led voters remains as of now unresolved and in some cases not even addressed. that would include the decline of the american middle class, the drop of life expectancy and the opioid crisis, and the global dominance of china, the quagmire in afghanistan, infrastructure, health care costs, you know, the little...

Security visor who has financial interests with the government of turkey, and president everyone, thats a big issue. for that, i have a concern to that point. i think thats the bigger issue. its not come as a said previously, its on the logan act or talking to the ambassador. that is the soul, bigger issue. >> capri: survive can i go back to what your sink? no more cutting the baby. As possible, that will ultimately be a really good thing for democrats. i fear a 31 way primary a lot less than i fear a four-way primary where people can jump on a front runner and it can become divisive and personal. >> all the fixation that beto orourke that clearly exists, i cant help but notice that after the midterms, which are driven by women voters, minority voters, that beto orourke is neither of those. >> you noticed that, too. obviously, i am a fan of beto. he ran a wonderful campaign...

Would probably say vladimir putin is benefitting from this whole aura of disorganization at the white house, and the presidents fixation on discrediting the mueller investigation, which is a linchpin of our democracy. the best thing the president can do from a russia policy perspective now is stop tweeting and spend more time in the situation room with his team. >> all right, we will see if that happens. >> if only. >> great to see you. really interesting read. >> coming up, theres that and then...
