Last year on May 26th, the Arizona Rattlers beat the New Orleans VooDoo 69-45. They said then that they didn't want that to be the last win that the team had in the Bayou that season. That's exactly how things played out, as the Rattlers won ArenaBowl XXV at New Orleans Arena just two and a half months later. Now, they're leaving Orlando as 84-63 winners over the Orlando Predators, and the message is exactly the same.

The Washington Valor (1-3) hit the road this weekend to face the Tampa Bay Storm (4-1) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20th inside of Amalie Arena. The game will broadcast live on Monumental Sports Network. Both Head Coach Dean Cokinos and Linebacker Jimmy Gordon return to their former arena for the first time since joining Washington.

Last week was supposed to be a very good week in fantasy. We had solid recommendations including Orlando quarterback Randy Hippeard who looked to be in a very favorable matchup.

Ted Leonsis has made his first major move as an owner of an Arena Football League franchise. Sources have confirmed to ArenaFan.com that Dean Cokinos will be named the first head coach of the unnamed Washington franchise as soon as Thursday.

The Jacksonville Sharks are having their worst season in franchise history, and the lowest point of that season came on Saturday night when they were smacked by the Cleveland Gladiators 62-20 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Kicker Brian Umstead topped off a mixed performance by converting the game winning field goal from the 23 yard line as the clock went to zero. The final score of 45-42 gives the Command their first two game winning streak.

When we started the 2016 season, everyone was excited about Nathan Stanley in Los Angeles and Cleveland was ready to start the year with Chris Dieker under center. Randy Hippeard was coming off a good season and played very well to start this season.

Last week, I began our tutorials which should be called,

A guy comes out of the little ol Arena Football League, gets his big chance and leads his team to a Super Bowl en route to what will likely become a Hall of Fame career. It's a script we've heard before.

The Orlando Predators have always been my team of choice in the Arena Football League, but the New Orleans VooDoo have always held a special place in my heart. I love the Crescent City. The food is phenomenal. The people there are always fantastic. And at least while Tom Benson owned the team, the Graveyard was one of the most hopping places in the AFL.
