Finding it difficult to remember the last time the Arizona Rattlers lost back-to-back games? Me, too. It's been a while. After getting manhandled by the San Jose SaberCats two weeks earlier, the Rattlers let the Spokane Shock claim a confidence-building 73-66 victory July 12 while possibly costing themselves home-field advantage in Arena Bowl XXVII.

For the first time in AFL history, a team that never led in regulation won a game. The San Jose SaberCats took their first lead 67 minutes and 29 seconds after the opening kickoff midway through overtime. On the ensuing play from scrimmage, SaberCats defensive back Vince Hill intercepted Chicago Rush quarterback Russ Michna to seal the victory.

The Spokane Shock have made a habit out of humiliating their opposition. Their last four contests have ended with wins of 14 points or more. The trend continued on Friday. The visiting San Antonio Talons came to Spokane with hopes of a division title. They left with their collective tails between their legs in the aftermath of a 77-30 thrashing at the hands of the surging Shock.

Raudabaugh threw three interceptions and made constant mistakes all night, leaving questions for this coming playoff game against Cleveland next Saturday.

After pulling off the second greatest statistical turnaround of any regular season in AFL history, the Tampa Bay Storm found themselves winning a home playoff game for first the first time since 2010 and clinching a trip to their first ArenaBowl since that same season.

The Washington Valor (1-7) are still on the road and coming off their third bye week, after a short drive up I-95 they'll square off against the Baltimore Brigade (2-6) inside of Royal Farms Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23rd. T

A 24-point loss to Portland drops Jacksonville to No.6 and allows Tampa Bay to move back into the No.5 slot despite losing to Orlando by a touchdown. San Jose, Philadelphia, Arizona and Orlando remain Nos. 1-4 after Week 16 AFL action.

At the start of the Milwaukee game this week the Blaze were channeling the 2010 team. Tommy Grady was haunted by the Ghost of Michael Affleck and fumbled three snaps and Alvance Robinson fumbled two kickoff returns in the first half.

On Friday night though, win or lose against the Jacksonville Sharks, the Predators, and the community in Orlando are huge winners. Friday night is the team's third annual Community Partnership Night, highlighting some of the best community service programs in Central Florida.
