ArenaFan contributor Fran Stuchbury spoke to Florida Tuskers backup quarterback Crhis Greisen at the UFL Championship media day at Las Vegas. Greisen spent the 2007 & 2008 seasons in the AFL with the Georgia Force. He also spent some time with the Dallas Desperados.

It's officially official. Week 1 is in the books. While I only got a chance to catch some of the Cleveland/Tampa Bay game, I was at the Washington Valor home opener. Verizon Center was buzzing, with the energy in the air, it felt like this was a playoff game and Arena Football had been a staple in D.C. for the last fifteen years.

Theres a funny thing about first impressions, you only get one chance to make them. The Blaze squandered that chance, and they now face the consequences of a horrid first game.

Never before, and never again in the history of professional football, will you likely ever see anything like this again. The Jacksonville Sharks have won four straight playoff games dating back to last year's ArenaBowl when they beat the Arizona Rattlers. On Friday though, they are going to be taking on another team that has won four straight playoff games, the Philadelphia Soul in the City of Brotherly Love in the American Conference Championship Game.

After another double-digit road loss to team with a losing record, the San Jose SaberCats (9-5) return home where they haven't lost a game over a year to face West Division rival Spokane this Saturday night.

December 14th, 2008 may go down as the darkest day in the history of the Arena Football League. Tonight, the Board of Directors met, and after almost two hours of waiting, the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the 2009 season will be suspended, but the League makes plans to continue in 2010.

Ah, the Arena Football League. The only league I can recall that will literally change the rules during the game. Or in this case, during the season, with only two weeks left in it before the playoffs.

The San Jose SaberCats achieved a big win on the road defeating the Jacksonville Sharks (6-3) with a score of 57-36 on Saturday night, improving their record to 6-2 for the season. With half of the season left to play, the SaberCats currently sit two games behind the National West Division leaders the Arizona Rattlers (8-1).

Last season, the San Jose SaberCats lost their sixth game of the season at New Orleans falling to 3-3 on the season, but then went on to win 13 straight en route to winning ArenaBowl XXI. This season, San Jose again lost in the Crescent City to the VooDoo to drop to 3-3.

The Arizona Rattlers' quest for perfection ended June 27 with a sickening thud.
