Funeral arrangements have been announced for Daniel McCracken, the Chester Police Officer who died in a noncombat-related incident while on duty with the US Navy in early May.

Sailors can earn up to two Flag Letters of Commendation if they successfully refer someone who signs a future sailor contract.

Since 1942, sailors assigned to the U.S. Navy’s Construction Force have been building and fighting around the world. Constructionman Mathue Sprowl, a Rockland Maine native is one of those sailors.
