it's not anybody, any of the many, many attorneys who have represented donald trump the last 50 years. it is donald trump himself who is his own roy cohen. he was perhaps roy cohen's best pupil, learned those lessons well starting in '73, certainly throughout the decade of the '70s into the early '80s. roy cohen is in his corner and at his side. >> that's really fascinating, the student outdoing the teacher. does it reveal a flaw, though, more broadly in our legal system that someone could so easily master a way to muddy the waters, to gum up the works by bringing not only at times frivolous litigation he's been accused of, and also spinning things. one of the biggest rules in politics certainly is to define your opponent before they can define themselves. it seems like his opponent is the justice system himself and he has been defining it time

early on the calendar, that would be his weakest state because independents can vote. but i think that was representative of what we're going to be doing monday night. does trump get half and then how is the other half? >> it's been true if desantis and haley run relatively close to each other, that's a huge plus for trump. and it feels like that maybe where we're heading. just watching this whole thing tonight, listening to these people, the fundamental flaw from the beginning was that he could offer himself as a new and improved trump. a trump who eats with a fork and knife. but the fact is there are a lot of people that want the real thing here. and no matter how well -- i think desantis said tonight that he likes to be underestimated. he spent most of this campaign setting himself up to be underestimated then he got pretty good at the end, but the

they didn't know that could happen. we all know after 9/11 how secure those doors were supposed to be. but one thing you said struck me. you said that's more a feature than a flaw of this plane. meaning, it's not in their manuals, it's meant to happen. does that need to change? does something significant need to change on that front for these planes? >> well, you can't have a flight crew that doesn't know what's expected in an emergency, so the pilot and the flight -- the flight attendants, first officer, no one knew that cockpit door could fly open during rapid decompression. we still have some questions about the manufacturer of that, the design of that, and why they designed it to open during rapid decompression. we're still pursuing some questions in that area, but you can't have a situation when there's an emergency and

manufacturing of all kinds of components. you can have a flaw in the manufacturing. and they'd want to know that because then they will look for that in other -- in other aircraft. so those are the kinds of things you're going to be looking for on that door as to what are the particular parts that failed. >> it doesn't seem that the inspection's massively time consuming. i think united airlines has cleared i don't know 30 of its 79 max 9s. how long should that process take do you think? >> i think the air witness directive says it takes some 4 to 8 hours or something like that. i can't remember the exact amount of time. but it can be done in what's called an overnight inspection, so they get right on inspecting in. so obviously an inspection that only takes a few hours to do, they're looking to make sure that the door is closed and sealed and locked.

panel to see if there were any flaws in the material, maybe there was a flaw in manufacturing, maybe there was a flaw in metallurgy, but they will be looking at the aircraft. they will be looking at how the aircraft was assembled both by boeing, they should be looking at where this fuselage and this panel was manufactured, which was in wichita, and then it was sent to boeing which would have been finally placed, this plug in place on the final assembly. the plane, they have to be looking at maintenance, they have to be looking literally at all factors. and they did list a number of things they would be looking at, metallurgy, survivability, manufacturing processes, and even safety -- overall safety accreditation of the plane. they did not however -- one thing they did point out is they would not be looking at the certification because, you know, they just looked at on the 737 max 8, but that could be an issue, too, depending upon what they find.

pressed to do. what do you make of all of these new developments on the back and forth between musk and cuban? >> hole, first of all elon musk's would dump all over mark cuban when it comes to intellect. i don't think mark cuban is that smart and the more we see it though -- and elon musk come i thought ray is the point that really destroys a lot of the di arguments. he asked mark cuban, who just sold the dallas mavericks basketball team -- he said, hey, mark when should we expect asian man or woman to make the dallas mavericks team? and to me, it really kind of crystallizes the flaw of dei, which sports is about who the best guy or gal is or at least used to be until left-wingers like mark cuban started to say that win and pretending to be men should be considered or men pretending to be women should be considered to be women. but think about this, martha, the most recent version of the men's basketball team had 12 black men on it here that is the
