Tamboran expects to start financial discussions once it enters the pre-FEED stage, ahead of taking a final investment decision in late 2026.

This move is designed to enhance liquidity and access deeper capital markets, complementing its existing listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

There was a significant decline on Tuesday in the amount of U.S. natural gas being liquefied for export with a drop in demand from Cheniere Energys Corpus Christi plant in Texas and its Sabine Pass operation in Louisiana, according to data from financial firm LSEG.

These volumes would then be delivered on a free on board basis to commodity trader Gunvor.

The agreement covers eight conventional natural gas-condensate fields in the country.

Shell on Thursday reported a 2023 profit of $28 billion, down 30% from the previous years record as oil and gas prices cooled, still allowing the firm to increase its dividend by 4% and extend its share repurchases.
