TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State track and field team has announced a schedule change regarding this upcoming weekend. The Noles will be traveling to the South Florida Invitational on the campus of USF in Tampa, Fla., this Friday and Saturday. This marks the fourth straight weekend the Noles will be in competition.
The Noles are planning on sending a select number of athletes to Tampa this weekend. The men's sprinters, the jumpers and the pole vaulters will all be in action this weekend.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - A stormy afternoon spoiled the final day of the Pepsi Florida Relays for the Florida State track and field team. Just three Noles competed before the meet was delayed for several hours due to inclement weather.
Jacob Hoeffner, Milton Ingraham and Nick Napier were the lone Noles to compete Saturday morning. Hoeffner finished eighth in the college portion of the discus with a mark of 50.21m. Ingraham finished seventh in the discus invitational with solid throw of 53.94m. The pole vault did not finish before the storm rolled in.
The Noles are next scheduled to compete at the Tom Jones Memorial on Apr. 15-16 in Gainesville, Fla.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State track and field coach Bob Braman added another key piece to the Noles distance crew with the signing of Emmy van den Berg. Braman quote Van den Berg is from Nijmegen, Netherlands and has had great success representing her home country both on the cross country course and on the track. She is a very diverse runner who has competed internationally in the 800m run, the 1500m run and the 3000m run. Van den Berg ran a personal best last June in the 3000m run with an impressive time of 9:29.88. She also broke her personal best in the 1500m run at the Next Generation Athletics competition where she ran a 4:23.35. Van den Berg is also very impressive in the classroom boasting a 4.0 GPA and is in her second year of medicine school on the university level. Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida State track and field teams saw 12 personal best performances of Friday at FSU Relays at the Mike Long Track. Kelechi Nwanga and Edidiong Odiong contributed their career bests that were among the all-time top 10 performances in FSU history. Nwanaga led the Noles to a one-two finish in the women’s javelin in dominating fashion, measuring at 55.06m, edging her previous best of 54.93. She still holds the second-best performance in FSU history but inched closer to the school record (55.59m) that was set back in 2018 by Lauri Paredes. Odiong crossed the line first in the women’s 100m with a career best time of 11.28, which now ties for seventh in FSU history. Her previous best was 11.37, set last year and just shy of the FSU all-time top 10. We had a really good day today, Head Coach Bob Braman said.
