The Forge Campus in Loveland has signed an anchor tenant to take much of the space in Building B previously occupied by Lightning eMotors Inc.

“Uncertainty” might be the operative term for those doing or seeking to do business in Loveland. Since the 2023 City Council election, economic activity has taken a definite unsettled tone. Projects that were underway have continued unabated. Those considering new projects may​ have hesitated if the work required City Council signoff, according to business leaders in the community. No one knows for sure what the impacts might have been.

An international company with roots in Loveland has expanded into a new facility twice its previous size.

KidsPak, the Loveland nonprofit that grew from a small operation handing out bags of food to a few dozen students to a community pillar that has now provided over a million meals to local youth, celebrated its continued growth Thursday afternoon at its new facility.

Sale of the assets of collapsed electric-vehicle company Lightning eMotors Inc. likely will close next week after court actions Thursday and Friday, but some operations will continue in part of Lightning’s space on the Forge Campus in Loveland.

Loveland Pulse will move its operations to the Forge Campus. The city utility that operates the communitywide broadband network has signed a lease to take over 13,000 square feet of space in Building C of the campus at 815 14th St. SW.
