A breathtaking walk on the UKs north west coast has been named as one of the countrys best.

A WIRRAL lifeboat crew was called out on consecutive nights to help vessels in difficulty over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The footprints show that as more humans began to migrate to the ancient UK site, many of the native animal species eventually grew extinct. 

Researchers found that the area close to the modern shoreline in Formby, Merseyside was a hub of human and animal activity in the first few thousand years after the last glacial period.

August is always reliable for the local birder and 2022 was no different, as bumper Pied Flycatcher and Garganey numbers were enjoyed along with some exciting seawatching.
