Two years ago, a white woman was found in pieces, stuffed in the freezer of a Chicago home. Police later confirmed she was the landlord of the building, and now her tenant is being held criminally accountable for her killing.

The Black Chicago tenant could spend the rest of her life in prison on murder charges.

A Chicago woman was found guilty Monday of killing her landlord and dismembering her body at an apartment in West Rogers Park in 2022.

A jury in Chicago is weighing the fate of a woman accused of killing and dismembering her landlord.

Sandra Kolalou, 37, was charged with killing and dismembering her 69-year-old landlord, Frances Walker. “Maybe after the verdict, we can start healing. We miss Fran a lot,” Walker's sister-in-law, Maggie Walker, told reporters.

Sandra Kolalou, 37, denied killing and then cutting up Frances Walker in 2022 at the Northwest Side home they shared.

The woman who was charged with murdering and dismembering her landlord at a West Rogers Park home in October 2022 appeared in court Monday morning to ask that the trial be postponed.
