When Baylor men’s basketball head coach Scott Drew posted his dedication to Baylor on Thursday morning to officially take his name out of the hat for the Kentucky job, a subtle roar took over Waco. From murmuring in classes to dancing at Fountain Mall, there were smiles all around that could be traced back to one man’s decision to keep his home base at Baylor.

Rooted in an underdog mentality, it was seemingly No. 5 seed Baylor women’s basketball versus the world. Despite trailing by six at halftime, the Bears hit seven of their next nine shots and had No. 1 seed USC on the ropes. However, Baylor missed its first eight shots in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Trojans to stomp back and end the Bears' run in the Sweet 16 by a score of 74-70 on Saturday at the Moda Center.

While the Foster Pavilion has been a needed and welcomed new fan experience for Baylor men’s and women’s basketball, finding a seat has been a chore for students. From a lack of abundance to a hard-to-navigate process to get in the door, students feel the process is more than they bargained for.
