GLADWIN COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) - Progress continues to be made at Midland and Gladwin County dams -- more than three years after the catastrophic breaches.

May 19 marks three years since heavy rains and flawed dams led to a devastating flood that ruined lives and damaged property in Gladwin, Midland, and Saginaw counties. To this day, the recovery is ongoing.

MIDLAND, Mich. (WJRT) - A significant step was taken Tuesday to restore the four lakes lost in the catastrophic dam failure in Midland County more than two years ago.

Chippendales, the famed male dancer troupe, has turned to K Street to help it tap into federal pandemic aid for the live events industry.

Some in the industry expected lobbying spending to level out ahead of the midterms and after numerous pandemic relief bills and the initial burst that a new administration provides.

The funds come from the Building Michigan Together bill, which seeks to overhaul the states aging infrastructure.

Midland and Gladwin Counties, nine townships and village of Sanford will have to pick up some of the cost.
