A memorial service in honor of the 15-year-old equestrian killed in a tragic accident during an event last week has been announced.

The horse lurched, rider Hannah Serfass fell and the horse followed at Fox Lea Farm in Venice, Florida. Mourners used #rideforhannah to honor her.

The family of the 15-year-old equestrian killed in an accident at a competition in Venice is asking for donations to a memorial in her honor.

According to the Chronicle of the Horse, Hannah Serfass, 15, was killed after her horse tripped and fell during a competition at Fox Lea Farm.

On Sunday afternoon, a 16-year-old horse rider was killed while competing in a national steeplechase event at Fox Lea Farms.

The horse planted its left front hoof shortly after completing the sixth jump at Fox Lea Farm. The rider toppled forward and the horse followed.

A teenager has died following an accident during a competitive horse racing event in Sarasota.
