Heres the latest information. All 307 passengers and crew members are now accounted for. Two people have been killed, and cnn reports that they were chinese citizens. Their bodies were found outside the plane. 181 people were injured. Six of them are in Critical Condition. You can see the backup here, a big rig was on its side block all lane of southbound 880 and the backup is stretching for miles. We understand that a big rig has just been righted but still is blocking lanes. Just about 20 minutes ago, a large tow truck arrived to take that overturned big rick out of the lanes. The accident apparently started in the northbound lanes of interstate 880 in fremont between auto mall parkway and stevenson boulevard. This all started around 10 00 in the morning. A witnesses says the big rig driver crossed over the median. One person was injured when debris from the crash hit their vehicle. And take a look at our realtime traffic map.
