The facility remains open this morning with only essential personnel reporting for work. Heres the very latest. 13 people including the lone gunman are dead. Eight victims are hurt. Overnight, we learned that the suspect may have had a grudge against the navy. The fbi says 34yearold aaron alexis is behind the terror at the Washington Navy yard. Investigators search for the motive to a massacre. Aaron alexis used his own pass to get onto the knavy yard. Multiple shots fired. Push shove, people falling down. It was just crazy. We now have a total of 13 fatalityies including the shooter. The victims range from age 46 to 73 all civilians. The gunman was being treated for serious Mental Illness including hearing of voices. Whats the security of this facility in your opinion . I think the security is really good up till today. After a 19hour operation, the attempt to raise the Costa Concordia has been successful. It was a perfect operation i would say. Theres no words. Im just this shock. Flooding in colorado being blamed for at least eight deaths. They loved the navy. They loved the fleet. The fleet that they helped build and sustain. Once again, they have the ceremony under way. One week since the gunman open fired at the nation navy yard e nations capitol. Well live in. The report that no service men were killed. Just civilians and contractors. And that is flat wrong. These patriots designed and built our ships. They sustained and set the standards for our ships. They connected us to each other and to the fleet, and they protected and sustained our headquarters. These 12 members of our navy team, our navy family, they were killed in the line of duty. They died in service to our navy, in service just a that the committed to just as any of us in uniform. For that service we honor them. For that service we will never forget them. I salute these american heroes.
