The expected lifetime of PV inverters is significantly shorter than that of modules. In many projects, inverter replacement is included in financial calculations from the start, despite the high costs. Research is being conducted into the causes of faults to develop more durable inverters and components. Fraunhofer: Sustainable and efficient innovations for the plastics industry

At the world’s largest trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, 14 Fraunhofer units have adopted the “We know plastics” slogan and will be showcasing innovative, sustainable and efficient approaches, solutions and developments for plastics processing. From October 19 to 26, 2022, the topics of circular economy, digital transformation, climate protection and functionalization will take center stage at Booth SC01 in Hall 7.

New Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Hydrogen in South Korea

  Jointly with Korean scientists, the Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS has been conducting research on the import of green hydrogen since 2020. The Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Hydrogen Energy at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology FIP-H2ENERGY@KENTECH will now provide the foundation for a more enhanced cooperation with partners in South Korea. The signing ceremony during the 3rd Germany-Korea Hydrogen Conference on 27th September 2022 in Berlin sealed this cooperation.
