Police have identified a man killed Saturday in the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle North, in the Parklane neighborhood as Davonte Robinson.

The death of popular rapper Lor Scoota is an example of how the crude system of street justice can move laterally, striking not just perpetrators, but also family and friends. Supporters say Scoota had largely turned away from street life in order to pursue a promising career in music. He still wound up in the crosshairs.
