The 31st annual Stone Mountain Day took place on Saturday, Aug. 5 at Leila Mason Park in the city of Stone Mountain’s historic Shermantown community.

The Baltimore Village School in Cramerton, North Carolina, was built in the 1920s to educate African Americans and provide skills to navigate segregation. It’s been closed for quite some time, but a former Cramerton resident stepped in to preserve its history.

Cramerton plans Black History Month program on Thursday
