The Rockland Rotary club hit a major donation milestone Friday, Feb. 17 in Owls Head.

The early voting period is now open for residents eligible to vote in several nonpartisan municipal races and five sanitary districts planned on the November general election ballot.

The filing period opened July 2 and closed Friday at the Wayne County Board of Elections. Races in the town of Mount Olive, which take place every two years, have been moved to March 8, the same day as federal and state primaries, due to legislation requiring redistricting following delayed results of the 2020 U.S. Census, said Anne Risku, Wayne County Board of Elections director.
