Effect. flooding going on from the rain. wind are good, up to 40-mile-per-hour around maine. that is that side of the storm. the wind gusts, though, from this were extreme yesterday and in the overnight hours. new york city j.f.k. airport 75-mile-per-hour wind gust. that is hurricane force wind. atlanta city, new jersey, 73 miles per hour. it gives you an idea how strong its been. i dont think that the winds today will be as strong as that, but we will still probably see some around 50 to 60 mil...

Shop owners that had to be plucked out of their homes and storms and paddled away in kayaks. the rush of waters loosened the ground over the northeast, pushing the trees and power lines down here in new york, pennsylvania, connecticut as well. one home in atlantic city was annihilated when wind gusts came ripping through the neighborhood. no injuries to report on that but many other were hurt by flying debris from the severe wind. wind isnt the only problem for people in west virginia, pennsylva...
