Fruit Royale News Today

Fruit Royale is a trusted name in table grapes, operating as a year-round grower, supplier, importer, exporter and distributor since 2004. The Delano, CA-based company works with its growers on all aspects of fruit production including growing, packing, cooling, storing, logistics and sales, with detailed emphasis on providing high quality product to customers on a consistent basis.

Fruit Royale’s portfolio of premium table grapes has moved into its California season. Transitioning out of its import holdings in Peru and Chile, and with the Mexican volume beginning to slow down, Fruit Royale’s San Joaquin Valley season is on the cusp of bearing fruit.

There’s a lot of energy and excitement this time of year as table grape season ramps up in California. In 2021 California grape growers harvested more than 97 million boxes of table grapes — an estimated crop value of $2.1 billion — per the California Table Grape Commission. Furthermore, those numbers represent 99 percent of all commercially grown grapes in the United States.

Fruit Royale Inc. specializes in premium table grapes from across the globe. Seasonally, April represents a shift away from imports out of Peru and Chile. As those operations wind down the ramp-up of Fruit Royale’s season out of Mexico begins.

“Let’s put it this way — we’ve always got grapes,” said Louie Galvan, managing partner of Fruit Royale Inc. The company, based in Delano, CA, has been in the table grape business since 2004, but Galvan started in the produce industry in the early 90s.
