The collective understanding of dementia and its often wide-reaching effects is growing ever deeper in Listowel thanks to the work of a multi-agency body established there last year.

Tánaiste Micheál Martin last Friday paid a warm tribute to the staff and volunteers at the Ard Chúram Day Care Centre as well as the wider Listowel community as he cut the ribbon to officially open the new Ard Chúram Fuchsia Day Care Centre for Dementia.

Her collection began from books that some of her family members wished to sell, and also acquisitions from local individuals.
