Fuel Price Decrease News Today

There will be a minimal price decrease on fuel products on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Kerosene prices have been reduced by Sh4.82.

The AA said the price of a litre of petrol could drop by about 50 cents per litre, while a litre of diesel could be slashed by about double that amount

The association says unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund show a decrease of between R1.05 and R1.06 for both grades of petrol while a two rand decrease in diesel is expected.

Lower international product prices have been cited as a reason for the anticipated fuel price decrease that has been predicted for December.

Both grades of petrol will cost almost R2 less per litre, while diesel prices will fall by half that amount.

The Automobile Association (AA) has predicted a drop in fuel prices for the month of November based on unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF).

Consumer price inflation is the lowest it has been since July 2021, when the consumer inflation rate was at 4.6%.

This comes as much-needed relief after the fuel price hit a record high of R23 a litre last month.
