The Billings Public Works Department held an open house at the water treatment plant showing the process for clean drinking water, as it prepares for the new plant on the west end.

Billings residents got a look at a new project Wednesday evening that could help alleviate traffic in one of the fastest-growing parts of town.

Drivers on the west end of Billings who use Gable Road will have to find a new route at least for the next six weeks.

It has been three months since flood waters washed away a large chunk of Gabel Road, and construction has still not gotten underway.

MISSOULA, Mont. - Crews are working on a train derailment near Reed Point, Montana, marking the fifth train derailment in 2023.

Heavy rain in early June caused extremely high runoff on Hogan Slough at Gabel Road east of South 27th Street West.

Streets were closed, basements and parking lots flooded and Billings emergency services overwhelmed as several inches of rain fell over the Billings area since June 1.

There was so much flooding in Billings, Montana over the weekend that people were fishing on Shiloh Road. The National Weather Service (NWS) says Billings is already up to at least 4 inches of rain for the month of June, even though we are only 4 days in.
