Gaganyaan Mission Test Flight Launch: Isro is getting ready for its first uncrewed test flight for the Gaganyaan program. This important mission is set for October 21, 2023, at 8:00 am IST. This historic mission, designated as the Test Vehicle Development Flight Mission-1 (TV-D1) or Flight Test Vehicle Abort Mission-1 is step to see if everything works before sending astronauts. The launch will involve a single-stage liquid propulsion rocket equipped with a Crew Module and Crew Escape System, serving to evaluate their safety and performance in returning Indian astronauts safely to Earth during the forthcoming Gaganyaan mission in 2025. The rocket used has a special module for the astronauts and a system to help them escape if there s a problem. This test will make sure these parts are safe and work well for the future Gaganyaan mission in 2025.
The Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO will start a series of test flights for India's maiden human space flight mission from February next year, a senior official told Press Trust of India today.
