At Cloud Cups on Frankford Avenue, gelato artist Galen Thomas is dishing out all kind of artisan gelatos and sorbets.

Cloud Cups, the gelato company that got its start selling CBD-infused desserts, is opening its first storefront this weekend at 2311 Frankford Ave. in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. The store will offer traditional gelato and sorbet flavors rather than CBD-infused desserts. The first 150 customers on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 will receive two free scoops.

Cloud Cups will open a new gelato shop at 2311 Frankford Ave. in Fishtown in March 2023. The business launched in 2018, specializing in CBD-infused gelato, but will focus on traditional gelato at its first brick-and-mortar shop. The company is led by owners Galen Thomas, Kolande Oronti and Drew Posey.

Lokal Artisan Foods and Cloud Cups ice cream have teamed up for a French Toast Bites Gelato in celebration of National Ice Cream Month. The newly created flavor is currently available at several locations throughout Philadelphia, including Spruce Street Harbor Park, Cherry Street Pier, Pizza Brain, Manayunk Pizza, and Ashley's Deli.
