Family fears loved one crashed off I-205 bridge during winter storm

PORTLAND, Ore. Authorities are searching for a man whose shocked family thinks may be the victim of a car crash off the Glenn Jackson Bridge, which serves as Interstate 205 and connects Portland to Vancouver. The crash happened late Sunday afternoon at about the time Antonio Amaro Lopez would have been driving home from his job in Clark County.

The family of Antonio Amaro Lopez said they would hold a candlelight vigil for him at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, at 4325 NE Marine Drive in Portland. The vigil is open to the public.
Antonio Amaro Lopez started driving home from his job at his family’s Hazel Dell restaurant about 5 p.m. Sunday.
DoorDash Driver Says Police Hit His Car After Mistaking Him For Suspect

A DoorDash driver s car, that also carried his fiancée and three girls, was hit by a police vehicle in Portland, Oregon, after officers mistook him for a hit-and-run suspect.
Delivery driver Patrick Cunningham said Portland Police officers hit his car and arrested him after the family saw people surrounding a woman lying in the street around 7 p.m. on Saturday before stopping in order to help.
KOIN said the episode began when Cunningham, who said he had worked as a firefighter, put the hazard lights on and called 911 when he claimed to see the victim was not talking but had taken several breaths.

A pedestrian was killed in a crash south of the Ross Island Bridge early Saturday, police say.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a crash about 12:48 a.m. on Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard at Franklin Street, according to Portland police. They located a pedestrian with fatal injuries and the involved driver, who remained at the scene.
Investigators determined the pedestrian, a man, was likely crossing to the west side of McLoughlin Boulevard when a southbound driver hit him, according to police. On Monday, officials identified him as 34-year-old Joshua Gray Stanley, of Portland.
