An Arizonan retirement couple commended their new home state for its safe and costly neighborhoods with close access to medical care and said they're surrounded by Californians who bailed out.

A retired couple moved from Hawaii to Arizona, praising their new state's cheaper living costs, better access to medical care and year-round warm weather.

“The scale of damage that is happening on the territory is heartbreaking,” Sleydo’ said. “But it’s also what we knew was going to happen, which is why we’ve been fighting so hard.”
