For nearly 40 years, the Hauser Fire Department has held an annual event to help families in the throes of childhood cancer while remembering a little cancer warrior gone too soon.
"Shalena's my daughter," Hauser Lake Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Gary Mobbs said Tuesday. "I'm just proud of everybody for keeping it going, and look at all the children we’ve helped through the years."
