Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center scientists have developed a suite of computational tools to help glean information about gene expression patterns from cell-free DNA. These tools could help improve liquid biopsies and make it easier, faster and cheaper for doctors to get molecular information about tumors that could guide patient treatment.

Fred Hutch computational biologist Dr. Gavin Ha received an NIH New Innovator Award to develop new assays and computational methods that will allow him to mine cancer patient blood samples for new information that can improve diagnosis, treatment and disease monitoring.
