By 2021-02-13T10:21+11:00 We have a ripper meeting at Flemington today, highlighted by the Group 1 Black Caviar Lighting down the straight. There’s a fairly solid support card with Group 3 races the CS Hayes and Vanity, plus the Listed Talindert. OVERRATED OR GOING OFF EARLY I mentioned last week I thought Aysar and Tagaloa were disappointing at Caulfield. On Saturday I thought Crosshaven’s effort in the CF Orr Stakes was only so, so and up in Sydney North Pacific was just a pass and Ole Kirk finished third at short odds. Nichols could do nothing but watch jockey Zac Spain throw everything at Streets Of Avalon in the drive to the line before the game gelding held on to win by a half-length over the Chris Waller-trained Imaging. Stree...

By 2021-02-06T10:37+11:00 The Group 1 C.F. Orr Stakes and the Blue Diamond Preludes headline todays racing at Caulfield. The track is rated a Good 4, the weather is fine with BOM suggesting 25 degrees and 20% chance of rain and the rail is in the true. Race 1 - The Big Screen Company Handicap @ 12:40pm Loved the way Regardsmaree won here on Australia Day. He was wide from the jump and won arrogantly. It’s no great price today but he should be winning. Is building a nice record. Mystery Sho...
